John McGinnis (MacGinnis) 1867 to 1936
Butte, Montana Mayor 1905 - 1907
John MacGinnis came to Butte as a young man. He became associated with the late F. Augustus Heinze, an outstanding figure in the copper industry at the turn of the century. Mr. MacGinnis served as vice president of the Heinze company, and was also one of the directors and for several years served as president of the Old Silver Bow National Bank which was taken over by the Metals Bank and Trust company in June of 1922.
